The Shymal Seal Foundation is proud to announce the launch of our Senior Citizen Medical Aid Program 2026, an initiative specifically designed to support elderly individuals living within the Below Poverty Line (BPL) segment.
On June 6th, our team reached out to our first beneficiary under this new program: Mr. Abdul Hakim. Mr. Hakim is a 58-year-old resident of Loco Colony (near Vidya Niketan School) in Pandu, Guwahati. Having spent his life working hard in the labour sector, the physical toll of his occupation has begun to show as he approaches his senior years.
To help ease his daily living expenses, the Foundation provided a direct financial contribution of ₹7,000 via cheque.
Additionally, we ensured Mr. Hakim received a proper medical consultation. While he thankfully does not suffer from any severe ailments, the doctor prescribed a course of Bioqten tablets—a vital nutritional supplement designed to support cardiovascular health, boost energy levels, and combat the chronic fatigue associated with decades of physical labour. The Foundation has fully sponsored and provided this medication.
We believe that every senior citizen deserves access to healthcare and a life of dignity.
